How Meat Is Raised:

Icelandic sheep raised organically on pasture using natural, low-input methods (though not formally certified). Grass-fed and free-range on diverse pasture and forage, with supplemental hay in winter as needed. The flock is bred specifically for strong parasite resistance, allowing us to minimize (and often eliminate) the use of chemical dewormers. No GMOs or synthetic additives.

Our family has owned this beautiful lakeside farm since 1999. It was originally run as an equestrian operation.

In 2017 we transitioned into raising Icelandic sheep, drawn to their hardiness, versatility as a triple-purpose breed, and exceptional parasite resistance. We maintain a closed herd of about 50 animals with excellent animal welfare and natural behaviors as the priority.

Our philosophy is simple: raise healthy, happy animals with the lightest possible footprint on the land and lake. We practice low-input, pasture-based management that protects water quality, avoids synthetic chemicals where possible, and lets the sheep express their natural behaviors.

The flock  lives outdoors on diverse pasture as much as the climate allows, with minimal supplementation. We focus on closed-herd biosecurity, natural resilience, and producing clean, flavorful meat while stewarding this special lakeside environment for the long term.
